"15 Seconds In" - added 22-feb-2003

This fic is...odd. By my description and the authors. In fact, I'm not entirely certain this story can be summarized, really. I'm also not entirely sure it's to everyone's taste - it's not violent, or overly sappy, just...odd. It's an AU of Duo...ah, hell. I can't summarize this one >_<. It's not overly long, so just give it a shot.

She no longer has a home page, I've written and asked, so this is the only fic available, I'm afraid.

My god in heaven.  This fic has stuck with me much like DC Logan's Christmas arc...I think I was fully involved in bawling my eyes out by the end.  I read it a very long time ago and was just reminded of it the other day and just had to get it on here.  The boys go to investigate a very old resource satellite that has been abandoned, and find that it was abandoned for a very good reason.  The boys have some very nasty head games played with them, by the likes of whom you won't believe.  In the end, in order to save the others, one pilot will have to make a horrible decision that, no matter what he chooses, will haunt him for the rest of his life.

Good fic...creepy fic.  Go, read, now.

Don't let the title scare you away.  This is actually a serious fic from Duo's POV about watching Heero struggle with nightmares.  He wants to help, but isn't sure how as Heero strikes out in his sleep.  His solution comes in a whispered word from a sleeping Heero.

Very sweet.  Duo does have feelings for Heero in here, but the romantic feelings take a back seat to his overall concern for Heero.  I rather liked the description of Heero's smile and eyes in here......this is the first of a small arc.

"An Expert in the Field" - added 02-jan-2003

This is a 3 part get togther fic. Hilde's had feelings for Duo for years, but has repressed them since she believes Duo does not return them. One night, however, her control breaks, leading her to do some things that mortify her and confuse the hell out of Duo.

Get-togther fics for Hilde and Duo are a dime a dozen, but I particularly liked this one because of the characterizations. Duo wasn't a sleezy womanizer, Hilde wasn't a whiny bitch - they were just 2 intelligent, uncertain adults that also happened to be a bit clueless when it comes to the other's feelings *grin*.

There's a bit of humour in here, a smattering of lime and a couple of original characters that are used to good effect. All in all, it's a nice, fuzzy-feeling story.

"Journalism" - added 04-march-2002

I nearly passed this one by on the mailing lists, because it was an OC POV.  I should know better - I have found some that are well done; and this is one of them.  The narrator is a young war correspondent.  He has connections within OZ, and yet manages to stay unbiased in his reporting, giving his views of each side of the story, telling us where his honest reporting took him, and the eventual conclusions he reached about his life, the life of some of the war's main figures and the world after the Eve War.

I especially liked his take on Treize - it seemed dead on, and I liked what he did for Mariemaia at the end as well, it was a nice touch.
