The "Angels" Arc

Parts of this contain an OC point of view, but please, I BEG of you, don't let this scare you away.  The plot is quite original, the writing phenomenal and the OC is actually someone you can like.  (My  GW mailing lists are actually asking Dacia to write a sequel hooking the OC up with another Gundam person, they liked this fic and the OC so much) Make no mistake, though, this is a very pro 1x2x1 fic with a very satisfying 1x2 ending...  Basically, Duo is in another boarding school and becomes friends, and then involved with, another boy, while still pining for Heero.  This OC is very sympathetic to Duo's feelings.  Go!  Read!  Now!

It's ongoing, and I'm not certain it'll ever be finished, but it's still finished enough that that's not a problem.

Folks, this thing starts out happy, but man....this fic ended up being the saddest thing I've ever read, it most definitely did NOT go where I thought it would.  Duo and Heero have a stormy but loving relationship, with emotionally violent arguments occurring frequently.  After these arguments, Duo often runs out and Heero tracks him down, sort of his way of admitting his guilt for the argument.  But what happens when Duo can't be found?  Please, read this, but if you're depressed or having a bad day, I suggest you wait for a better time.  And don't read it right before bed, like I just did.  I hate going to bed in tears.

Based loosely on an essay by Marion Winik entitled "Sixteen Pictures Of My Father".  Heero stumbles upon some photos of Duo and reminisces.  Just plain sad, have the tissues ready.

Hana

This is a wonderful, romantic get-together fic revolving around Duo and Heero.  Starting just days after the end of Endless Waltz, it's become clear to Duo that Heero is not handling the end of the war well.  They were lovers during the war - can Duo convince Heero that life is worth living as a civilian, and hopefully as Duo's mate?  There is also a part that builds on the growing friendship between Duo and Trowa that is very sweet.

There have been plenty of fics out there that explore the idea of Heero feeling that he's a weapon that must be destroyed at the end of the war, but none pull it off quite like "Innocence Faded."  The writing is smooth, nearly poetic in parts, very well written.  It's very easy to immerse yourself in both pilots' POV and understand where they're coming from.  The emotion is heart-wrenching in parts, but very appropriate.

This will be an arc - more fics will continue this timeline in ficlets called "Sexcapades" and the second arc, "Scarred".
